Our 1870 Era Home

Our 1870 era home awaits you in picturesque Advocate Harbour. The Acadians originally settled this region, with the old Acadian dykes still in evidence. After the tragic expulsion of the Acadians in 1755, the Spicer’s obtained the land grant as one of the original settlers to the region from England in 1790. While retaining much of the charm of the original structure, you will enjoy all the comforts of our modern times in this completely restored home. Wireless internet available.

Your Private Entrance

This is your private entrance and deck. A wonderful place to enjoy the evening sun. Large chestnut trees provide shade from the noon sun. The old door has the original copper doorbell – quite unique in design!
